Braves at Brewers - Jun 2, 1998

June 2, 1998 - Braves at Brewers. For this game though it was Braves vs. Braves. The Braves donned 1958 Milwaukee Braves Road Jersey, and the Brewers matched with 1958 Milwaukee Braves Home Jersey. Unfortunately I've not found any cards from this game (a common theme for 1998 games)

Notable Braves - Ozzie Guillen, Chipper Jones, Andres Galraragga, Ryan Klesko, Javy Lopez, Andruw Jones and Dennis Martinez. Notable Brewers - Marquis Grissom.

Tigers at Royals - June 13, 1998

​June 13, 1998 - Tigers at Royals. The Tigers ditched the Stars jerseys for this game and honored and Negro Independent League team from 1931, Detroit Cubs. The Royals matched up in 1949 Kansas City Monarchs jerseys. Nothing from this game on card that I've found either. Too bad as the Cubs jerseys are nice looking jerseys. 

Notable Tigers - Luis Gonzalez. Notable Royals - Johnny Damon and Dean Palmer.

Angels at Padres - June 26, 1998

June 26, 1998 - Angels at Padres. Angels put on 1979-1985 Grey Road California Angels jerseys. The Padres put on the brown and yellow of their 1978 Padres jersey. <Broken record> I've found no cards from this game either. 

Notable Angels - Darin Erstad, Jim Edmonds, Cecil Fielder, and Garett Anderson. Notable Padres - Steve Finley, Tony Gwynn, Ken Caminiti, Greg Vaughn, Wally Joyner, Kevin Brown and Trevor Hoffman.

Reds at Tigers - June 27, 1998

​June 27, 1998 - Reds at Tigers. The Reds dress up as the Cincinnati Buckeyes (Indians dressed as Cleveland Buckeyes previously) from 1942. Tigers wear <drum roll> the 1920 Detroit Stars Home Pinstripe jersey. No definitive cards found for this game either. 

Notable Reds - Barry Larkin, Sean Casey and Pokey Reese. Notable Tigers - Tony Clark and Luis Gonzalez.

Royals at Mariners - July 18, 1998

July 18, 1998 - Royals at Mariners. The game everyone has been waiting for!!! The very first Turn Ahead the Clock (TATC) game.  The jerseys were supposed to represent what the teams would be wearing in 2027 (50th anniversary of the Mariners) The Royals had a ridiculously large "Royals" word mark on bright yellow vests. The Mariners went with black and the huge Mariners logo rendered in red and silver, also in a vest. No cards for this game either. 

Notable Royals missed on cards - Johnny Damon, Dean Palmer and Jeff Conine. Notable Mariners - Alex Rodriguez, Ken Griffey Jr. (again), Edgar Martinez, and Jay Buhner.

Thanks to aeast317 for pointing out that Project 70 has a card of Griffey wearing the uniform from this game.

Cardinals at Braves - August 1 and 2, 1998

August 1 and 2, 1998 - Cardinals at Braves. The Cardinals and Braves go back-to-back games honoring the Negro Leagues. The Cardinals wear 1928 St. Louis Stars road grey. The Braves put on one of my favorite throwback jerseys, the 1940 Atlanta Black Crackers pinstriped Home White Jerseys. Thankfully plenty of cards from this game, including the first jersey swatches from a throwback game that I've found. 

Notable Cardinals - Mark McGwire, Willie McGee, Fernando Tatis and Brian Jordan. Notable Braves - Chipper Jones, Andres Galarraga, Ryan Klesko, Javy Lopez, Andruw Jones and Tom Glavine (Aug 1 starter).
