Relatively common bird for the county, but will still be flagged as rare on eBird. There have been breeding pairs in the county, which is a good thing. All white Swans need to be looked at closely. Mute Swans (other than juveniles) are easier to distinguish, but Tundra and Trumpeter require closer looks.
Trumpeters are possible to find on most of the open waters in the area, as well as farm fields.
Beadle Lake in the early winter has been a good place. Baker Sanctuary has had a breeding pair, for at least 2014 and 2015. Open areas of the rivers can also collect these birds during the winter.
